Wow! I just found this thread and.........amazing! I love how stripped down you've made your GL! I've been thinking about eliminating the gauge cluster on my bike. There will probably be a "rebuild" thread coming soon for my ride, and one of my primary goals is to clean up the triple tree area. Amazing work!

I have a left hand frame piece with Kstand from an old 77 GL1000.
Not sure if it's compatible. :?:
You can have it, if you pay the shipping.
Let me know and I'll ship and we can settle up later.
I'll include shipping receipt. Will use USPS unless you need it quicker.

Thanks boss! to take them that far down isn't for the faint of heart! Didn't know that till well into the project. If your starting with a runner your a notch up on where I started. Look forward to your build. Not sure which build it was but one of sunnbobb's bikes had several gauges relocated to the shelter top. It was pretty cool.

Ha ha, I'm sure yours was no cake walk! I had to re-read the thread last night just for kicks......insane project! My bike currently sits like this:

The end result will likely have it looking a little more cafe inspired with lower bars, smaller seat, and maybe a rear fender chop/removal. Oh, and the gauge situation will get changed up.
