I'll get in line and say it is an outstanding build. The black with the gold accents really tie in well with the gold motor. Some of you guys seem to be able to knock out a build like they do on TV where it seems like I just stay in the same place trying to finish the one I started. I'm so jealous. Keep up the good work.

No kidding. I thought the gold engine was pretty lame at first but it came together very nicely. Well done.

Well I have been unemployed so I had more time to work on my bikes this year. The funny thing is I have three gl1000 and I have started with the last bike to the first. I still have not got to the first one yet.OhioBill wrote:I'll get in line and say it is an outstanding build. The black with the gold accents really tie in well with the gold motor. I hate to be the lone dissenter; I still don't dig the gold motor, but the bike really does look awesome!
Love those pipes, too.
Is the seat comfortable?

The seat is ok for short rides but I would not wanted to hit any hard bumps. If I had to do it again I would go with another seat.FirstYearDeek wrote:I hate to be the lone dissenter; I still don't dig the gold motor, but the bike really does look awesome!

My old man had a saying. "When life gives you a lemon colored motor, Build a kick a$$ cafe racer." Or something like that. I see BOTM sometime soon in your future.

There is a certain satisfaction you get by riding a bike that you built. That you can never get by writing a check

There are fork braces that are of a "hoop" design that would work for you. I have a set, but they are committed, and I don't know their origin.
I found the end of the internet

That's a shame, it's really a good looking seat! I wonder if it could be finessed to a more comfortable shape...thunderchild wrote:The seat is ok for short rides but I would not wanted to hit any hard bumps. If I had to do it again I would go with another seat.
