Your project is looking really great. It closely parallels my own rebuild of an already disassembled '81. I saw your bike yesterday in the Craigs list announcement for the swop meet in San Antonio. It looks really great in that photo. I hope to get by there on Sunday. Mine is running now but still needs paint and upholstery. I haven't ridden it yet but expect to run it around the yard this week end if I can get the brakes bled. Having a bit of trouble with that.

Wingman keep the 750 I have a 75, the first super bike, first mass produced in line four, first disc, put BSA,Triumph and Norton out of business( sadly) over 500,000 sold. Triumph did come back.
Recently got a 76 GL, parked side by side they look like a parent and a child, but what a nice view!

Motowalt- very beautiful work. Looking at your engine paint images (from oh so long ago) is helping me wrap my mind around my engine painting work. Much appreciated detailed shots. Some day I hope to do a complete rebuild like these, for now I just do partials.
Thanks for the write-up

I'm embarrassed to say that it took me until now to read your thread.

To Everyone:

Walt and I live about 15-20 miles apart and have talked on the phone and shared a lot of emails the past few months. He has been very generous with his knowledge while directing me onto the right path. I finally had the absolute pleasure in meeting him and the absolutely stunning "Patience" last Monday. Let me tell you guys, pictures do not do her any justice! Even though I have done quite a bit to make my lady look a lot better, I was really nervous to park "Murphy" in the same lot as "Patience". lol... Walt was very gracious with his comments on the stuff he liked about my lady. To sum it up... It was a night I will not soon forget.

Hey Don,
Thanks for the kind words.
It was nice to finally meet you in person and see all the work you've done to your bike and Patrick's Wing too...
We need to organize a little ride up to Luckenbach sometime...

Texas has produced some very nice BOTM bikes, and very appropriate for this build to join them. A very great state indeed. Congratulations!

Wow, thanks Fred!

I was out in the garage, trying to revive my leaf blower this morning, when Donnie called and told me to go to the NGW home page. Normally, I log on directly to Technical in my favorites, so I hadn't yet seen the December BOTM.

Needless to say, I am pleasantly surprised and honored that Patience was chosen as the "calendar girl" for Decmeber from all the great builds out there.

A big THANKS anim-cheers1 to everyone for generously sharing of their collective knowledge on this site and all the personal help, advice and parts from many members as the build was progressing. Without which I could not have done it and would not have even attempted to revive the 76.

You guys just made my day! dancr

Congratulations, great bike. I am gathering photos together to do a post-op on my build. Except for a few gremlins and the decals my bike is finished. Photographed it today and will try to get it posted this week end.

Walt,
Congratulations on your Wing being chosen as BOTM. The more I read this thread the more I think it has a shot at Bike of the Year. Amazing workmanship.
