I never thought of that. I was gonna try it anyway but this may speed up my efforts.

Polish the whole thing, then run a two inch stripe or even tape at the 12 o'clock from top to bottom then no glare for you.

Now that is the coolest ride I have seen for a looooong time, Sir!
I love the gas bottle, that is one true Mad Max ride.
I run propane on my VW Polo and now I am installing a propane setup on my 76 Ford Cortina also...maybe next year in my 1990 7up Mustang.
Propane is the best fuel on the market, and it is less than half the price of gasoline here in old Germany.

Polished on my tank. This tank is just a little bit shorter and mounts further to the front but same gallons.

Hydrocarbon, how do You start the engine? Seems You start it up directly on propane. My cars won't start easily on propane, so I start them on petrol and after 10 seconds I switch to propane.
Is there any method to fire it up instantly with propane only?

On mine, if the battery will turn it over, it will start. I don't have any trouble with my samurai starting either. I open the throttle at least half way to get some good vacum flowing. Could just be your dual fuel set-up. With the dual fuel, the propane mixer is further away and has to pass through your regular carb before entering combustion chamber. Alot of times there can be some leakage between your mixer causing it to suck in some air. After your engine is running the venturi is much greater due to your rpm. I'd really have to know a little more about which componants your system is made of to give a more correct guess. Your regulator or vaporizer should have a primer button that a manual lever can be attached to that will give it a little shot of gas that will help in cold weather.

Yes, that is very possible. The mixer (the thing where the propane comes out and mixes with the air) is mounted on top of the carb/tbi unit. My VW has a 1bbl tbi and my Ford has a 2bbl carb. The Ford mixer are two 90 degree tubes which end directly above the choke flap. The VW mixer is a kind of hollow ring with many little perforations.
VW system is italian make Zavoli, I have it now maintenance free for 100k miles.
Ford system is english BRC Bristol. Just had it installed a month ago.
Both have a a/f ratio regulation system with a small programmable computer and o2 sensor.
I have no idea where this primer button could be or how to add one.
I think this is the reason why I cannot start up on propane

I had suspision you was in another place far away from me. I'd say your set up is totaly different from stuff over here. If your set up is computer controlled, it probly don't have a primer button.

The computer is just an additional option for economy and exhaust quality. It only reads the o2-sensor output and adjust the a/f ratio by a valve between evaporator and mixer. The setup will work without computer, too.
Will see if I can somehow add a primer button.
