My prayers are with you, trust in the Lord and lean not on our own understanding. He will keep us all the way, even through the end of the ages.

God Bless,

His camaraderie and friendship has been very special to many of us. This is absolutely horrible news to read but I can only imagine how horrible it was for you to have to write this. I have never met him in person but I do consider him a great friend.

Thank you for letting us know and if there is anything we can do please do not hesitate to post here or contact me directly on the email link below.

That's tough new to hear and tougher news to convey. We are very fortunate to have experienced his kind and sharing words here on this board.

Peace be with you all and I love you, Cookie.

Christine, Frank here....we met when you and Cookie came to Eugene. I'm so sorry to hear about Cookie, he's pretty much considered family round here and admired and loved by many (myself included). If there is anything I or any NGW members can do to aid you and Cookie in these tough times please let us know.
Peace,
Frank

I have never had a chance to brush up against Cookie and his wisdom or knowledge, but if he is anything like the other people I have met from this forum he is awesome. I wish him the best, and hope all gets better for him and his family.

Here is Cookie, Brian (I think), and Steve (starket) at last years Quail gathering. The young man is some relation to Cookie? Starket may need to clear this up.

Christine, I am so sorry. I feel I am losing a dear friend, only able to stand by and offer anything I could give.

Cookie was one of the first to welcome me to this website. And I was fortunate enough to meet him at the Quail last year. Very sorry to hear of this latest turn of events. We are all dimished by his absence.

Back on the forum after an absence. . .and I find this sad news.

As many others have said, Cookie was one of the very first people to welcome me to this club & forum, and it seemed as if he was ALWAYS watching the posts so he could help.

I never met Cookie, but his beautiful spirit shined brightly through his upbeat and helpful writings, and I'm truly grateful for being shown the way. What a fine example of what our little tribe should be about.

Kinda puts things in perspective, eh? Let's have some F-U-N as we remember this special person.

Damn.

Godspeed, Cookie - sliding sideways and grinning. . .

It is difficult to hear of one dealing with this part of life. Hospice is truly a blessed group that shows how much love and care can be given to those in need. Blessings and prayers for Cookie and his family.
