removed the fuel pump/tach drive with a hammer and cut of the extension that drives the original ignition as well.

Thanks fellas. The red circle on the cylinder head surface is what I think the service limit might be on the head (im speculating here)

But its also a great place to measure exactly how much was removed from a cylinder head after its been milled.

Was reading through this thread again and you didn't mention what fuel pump you used, and how exactly you mated the throttle bodies to the intake tubes and I can't tell from the pics.

The fuel pump is a universal bosch intank pump.

I’m still busy with the itb’s so they’re just temporarily slipped over the tubes. I had to ream them with a flapper disc to get over the i take tubes, its a snug fit. Some silicone should seal them. Maybe a grub screw...

Glad I checked in here, this is looking to be a beautiful Wing, I've just entered the vintage Triumph world and been busy with that but I still sit and ogle periodically at the sheer brute lines of these fabulous bikes.

Silicone and fuel don't go together very well. The gas eats the silicone. For something in contact with fuel I use Hondabond/Kawbond/Yamabond. Whichever one you have on hand. Same thing we use to put engine cases together. Permatex also makes one now but I don't remember what they call it. It is in a gray tube and they all look the same. Gray in color.

Thanks Dean. Yeah I agree. Something about these big bruisers not fitting the mould of the typical cafe/custom is what makes them attractive to me too.

Can’t wait to get it going down the road

Got the indicators installed today, and a few other odds and ends. Had to shorten the stalks on the rear indicators and also modify the internals of all 4 in order to get the LED bulbs installed. They’re much larger than stock but well worth it. Super bright.

Also ended up fitting the centre stand, which I was in 2 minds about. Will see how it goes.
