Exhaust, what the average garrage mechanic may not know.

I bought my exhaust today. I bought the MAC exhaust system. 2 things made me go with this system. The first thig is- 400$USD is not bad ata all for a complete system. Not considering that when you look at the jardine system, it's 570$USD. The only difference I see between the two as far as looks is that the MAC has welded header pipes and the Jardine uses mandrel bent header pipes. Now, what some may not know is, if you go with the MAC system, you do NOT have to re-jet. You can re-jet to get MORE performance out of the top end if you wish, but, the system will work perfect without re-jetting.

I'm not sure who knew this or not, but, I just found out so I wanted to share just incase anyone wanted an after marked system that does not require you to tear into the carbs.

LOL, screw the R1. Crotch rockets are like tampons, I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

Well , I don't want to offend anyone, but I was at a car show the other day and a chevy truck had a sticker on the back that said " Dodges ar ere like tampons, every pussy has one". LOL I'm a huge Dodge fan, but I thought it was great.

Just so no one is in the dark here. Sorry for the confussion.

A company called Motad also make after market exhuasts for teh 4 cylinder Goldwing models. They require no rejetting, but unfortuantly tend to be quiter than stock, the makers do claim a small power increase though. The 1000 system comes in Stainless, teh 1100 system in chome steel or stainless and teh 1200 system in stainles. Prices in the UK £265 for chromed steel and £285 for stailess, plus 17.5% tax and P&P. They are similar, but with shorter tail pies to the standard 1100 system. I fitted a stainless set to my old 1100 which my son now rides about 10 years ago and it still looks OK.
