Hi on my 1100 gw everything on the carbs have been removed all hardware etc.. the fuel tubes are stuck and refuse to be removed I'm afraid of bending the tubes. I can find nothing
That can hold the carbs #1 #3 together except the tubes themselves any suggestions?

P.s. the small o ring seals on #3 were crushed and leaking gas I see these seals for sale on eBay for $25.00 I have o ring seals that will fit for .65 cents hmmm.. Another day in overpriced motorcycle maintenance or are the $25.00 touched by the hand of god?

when it come the the goldwing carbs, i don't think you can cut corners, unless you enjoy taking them off and installing them on the bike. bit the bullet. get the Randakk kit, take your time, follow the directions, and never look back.

The carbs are held in position by the plenum.
Those tubes have o-rings that are probably just varnished in. Stuck by old fuel.
Soak the carbs in solvent (not WD-40 or PbBlaster) such as mineral spirits and they'll eventually separate.
+1 on Cyborg's advice. Get the kit and book.

GL1100 Pilot jet screw setting
Hello Roady,
I'm not sure about the correct setting of my pilot screws.
My carbs are GL1100 Built 1981 (pressed in idle jet). My old German GL1100 manual says 2 3/8 turns off. This manual is valid for GL1100 from 1980, refers to a carb with a pressed in idle jet. This is confusing to me.
You suggest in your overhaul post 1 1/4 turns off.
Can you please confirm this?

It really doesn't matter much where you start. You'll need to fine tune them later anyway.

Three turns out is where I put the mix screws on all 1100 carbs. Almost never have to move them from there.

BTW - My new favorite brew for the ultrasonic cleaner is Berryman's B12 carb cleaner mixed with water at roughly 1:3.
Not many miles on it yet, but so far so good.
