Vive la crash gear. Glad he's bruised but breathing without a ventilator.

Re: Hwy 33 Crash
Send a note to Matt that I hope he heals quickly. I see both of you guys were geared up for canyon riding. Good job. Crashes happen, but are certainly much better with good gear. Looks like he gave up just a hair while in that turn and went wide. Easy to do. Both times I have done that there were no rocks to bash into, just open field. Luck mostly.

Re: Hwy 33 Crash
Yea I noticed that once he started to drift out he looked at the wall also instead of where he wanted to go. Certainly something I have to fight when riding for fun like that. Visual fixation is a real struggle sometimes.sunnbobb wrote: Looks like he gave up just a hair while in that turn and went wide. Easy to do.
Best wishes to your Bud for a quick recovery

If that is not an effective ad for gear, well... Glad Matt is doing better, we can all learn from this.

No but it saved his skin and melon.... most riders wear jeans and cheep helmets. He had a tiny road rash on elbow.. rest of his skin was ok...Fred Camper wrote:If that is not an effective ad for gear, well... Glad Matt is doing better, we can all learn from this.
