Sauble Beach Run

#1

Post by drcroog »

Five of us made a run from Brantford and Kitchener up to Sauble for the day

The weather looked ominous for awhile but turned out to be very nice

I hadn't been to Sauble in years so it was great to get back on such a nice day with my pals

Hanging around BS-in is my favorite part of a group ride.

And, I sorta, kinda don't mind those new-ish Yamaha Whatevernobodycares SE-es. ;) (You got a chuckle outa me on that one.)

The best part of the day was watching these guys leap over 17 cars in a single bound on the ride home. Talk about a relaxing drive!

Not sure what happened...All the way there, la la la beautiful ride, nice scenery, soooo relaxing...Then on the way home all hell breaks loose!..Pretty sure I last saw Ricker on his bike pulling a nice Mennonite families wagon and I swear there was a guy on a giant tangerine handing out after dinner mints at 120 kmh !...Still trying to piece it together, all I can figure is that it was that funny tasting Sauble water or I may have mixed up my prescription meds...Still trying to sort it out...

Yes, Kirk was dispensing mints at speed from his giant tangerine mothership

I felt like the space shuttle docking with the ISS to receive my mint

The only problem is : I have a full face helmet on, I have a mint in my hand and I'm trying to ride a motorcycle

Anyway... here are some more pics from our most recent ride

The unintended special effects are thanks to my phone

Our quest is to visit every Tim Hortons in Ontario but I fear our task will remain incomplete since soon we will be too fat to ride

You're probably right

After a few Hortons stops we do get a little jangly, and especially me since I don't normally drink coffee

Another day, another Tim Horton's run. This one in the picturesque seaside village of Port Dover. And I see that Rob has picked another gem from his seemingly bottomless pit of lovingly restored Wings.
