Another single carb ?

#1

Post by earthquake »

Hi guys I have been away for awhile but I'm much better now.
Has any body ever tried a Keihin 40mm CV from a Harley on a wing before? I picked up a pair cheap and was going to use them on a VW motor in a dune buggy. HD used "one" on 1200's 80cid motors and they run pretty good if you don't mess with them too much. On a HD they rev pretty quick but that may be the short intake on a Harley, I don't know how it would be on a long intake you would need on a Wing.
I have also wondered how a single 40mm Solex/Kadron carb would be.

Myself I'd rather try to find a carb that wasn't CV. Too much extra work to get them right. IMO
