Wauseon Antique Motorcycle Meet

#1

Post by Lucien Harpress »

Just got back from Wauseon, OH. They've got a big shindig going on this weekend, with an antique motorcycle show, swap meet, and racing. Here's just a TINY taste of what was there.

1974 Velosolex 3800- Better Than Walking

I caught this rather well-done GL1100 custom. Was curious if it was anybody on here?

Overall it was pretty awesome. Didn't catch the flat-track races ($20 admission was a bit steep), but I caught a bit of it through the gaps in the fence- those guys are NUTS. Also met a guy who's buddy just bought a KZ1300. Pretty rough shape, but I've seen worse. Talked with him about that a bit (he didn't know much about it), kinda disappointed I never met the guy who actually BOUGHT it, but eh.

Probably going to be back tomorrow afternoon. I'd love to catch the actual show competition on Sunday, but I'll be busy. DEFINITELY worth a trip if you're close. $5 to park, free admission. More Harley's, Indians, BSAs, than you know what to do with. Running around, too. There was a 1901... 'something' (didn't catch what) that looked immaculate.

Great pictures, wish I could have been there.

That 4 cylinder Cleveland is a new one to me. Nice! Had to go look it up.

Yeah, I didn't know Cleveland motorcycles were a thing until this show.

I'm headed back today with my brother. I'll see what I can do about getting more pics.

No way I'd be able to make it there but I wish I could. I've always loved the look of the Ariel Square Fours.
