I was looking forward to going, seeing a few familiar faces, but ultimately a 3 hour superslab slog through the monsoon weather was enough for me to bail. Hopefully it was slightly less wet in SW Michigan?

Anyone got pics?

I think you had to get one line of bikes farther down than you did. lolol

I agree, Bones ended up being a rather popular attraction. I'm still surprised it didn't win anything. Didn't they have some kind of popular vote (or am I remembering things wrong)?

May have. I guess the only people that could vote were the actual contestants. No spectator voting.

And Rat, yes you were close to meeting Nate and Bones. I should have drug you over closer.

Sorry that I missed something, guys. Which one was "bones"?

EDIT - I see the photo now. That is a very interesting take to a custom GW. Very cool.

I cannot believe I missed seeing bones when I was at the show. So sad to be out of the loop. Stayed dry on the ride home, which was a surprise. Dry on the way over to Charlotte, wet from Charlotte to Hickory Grove on Sunday, then dry from Hickory Grove to home. Very nice first ride of the year.

It's good to be missed I suppose. Like I said I had some very tired, bored companions with me. I'm looking forward to a few more shows this year. Anything coming up down by you Fred? And Gord, I'm hoping to do next year what I wanted to do this year. Go over Saturday for the vintage ride and camp out. ngwsmilie

Thanks Mike. There was no crowd favorite or anything like that. Just straight custom. Hard to compete with turbocharged machines and machines with superb fit and finish and unlimited budgets. Bones is my budget, use what I could find, make what I couldn't anti-rat rat bike. As the song goes "she ain't right, but she's just right for me"

Only show bike owners got to vote this year. Seems like there were more voters in the past. Heading up to Paris later today.
