There's a lot of used parts available for these GLs. Post your needs in Wanted. CYBORG is a partner in the WinGovations business. He will see your post, and let you know if they can help. http://www.ngwclub.com/index.php?module ... _page&id=5
eBay is always a good source, too.

Put what you need in the wanted forums. Lot of the members have stock parts.
Browse through e-bay. Last I looked there were literally thousands of parts available.
Use our sponsors such as Cycle Psycho who has a salvage yard at http://www.cyclepsycho.com//.
Pretty sure there is a salvage yard in Bethel Ohio which is in your area of Ohio.
Go to the Home screen and check the links for more ideas.

Thanks, This info is good as I always like to buy from members or sponsors of a group like this.
One more parts question : Are most 75-77 parts the same? is there a place to find actual part numbers? When I have to go to an actual
dealer I like to have parts printouts or at least part numbers to start the search for replacement numbers.
I used to work in computers at GE Aircraft Engines (talk about a nightmare with part numbers).
We are getting warmer weather so all I need is a hint of a plan and off I go.
This is a great web site the further I dig into it.

Check out the above link for lots of good data on Part Numbers.

A great deal of the 75-77 parts will cross over.

as Casper says, 75-77 are nearly identical. Things start getting different between those and the 78-9. Having said that carbs changed EVERY YEAR, as well as the cam timing

Thanks, guys.
I am ready to get started on my project and thanks to Whiskerfish I will be working mostly sitting down. I've started looking for missing and broken pieces.
The picture shows that she can still get her car in the garage. This going to be an adventure.

Good looking setup you have. Keeping the ability to get the wife's car in garage is a very good plan, I think a lot of have learned that the hard way. I use one of those round wheelie stools that moves up and down, easy to scoot it around, assuming you do not have too many tools on the floor. Keep us all up to date.

Edit, just noted your seat in the picture :8)

Yes, that's a great setup. But hooks in the ceiling when the chock is in the way will be welcome. Chainfalls are so cheap on E...bay now that you can actually consider one over your build for the once-in-a-while lift.

BTW, wlecome from VT.
Appreciate good people: they are hard to come by.

IMO, beautiful and robust looking work platform for your bike... action1 action1 A set of castor wheels, 2 with brakes would make the experience so much better in the future...
