$18 vs $14 for 4 quarts all converted. About 50 cents per quart more. That and the gas at about $1 a gallon more adds up. Thirteen percent on most purchases or services. Ten percent more income tax on average. Free health insurance----there's no free lunch---- unless you don't work, or make minimum wage, don't drive, don't drink, don't smoke, don't gamble, don't own property and in Manitoba, don't ride a motorcycle. Not getting political, Rat. I'm now one of you. I can't vote yet, but I'm adjusting. Fact is, right now with the exchange rate many things are on par with the USA. I hope it stays that way. I used to do better buying beef in Canada probably thanks to the MadCow scare and ban of Canadian beef. Now it's the other way with MadChicken disease. Can't bring poultry or eggs back.

Yikes!

My son is currently in school in Newfoundland and every time we visit him I cringe when I look at prices.

I am adjusting to it. Right now with exchange it's 77 cents on the dollar. I recoil, then do the math and often it's pretty close.

Had to buy a quart today, mine has incontinence out the clutch. With tax at Walmart $7.73 which is $5.94 used with best exchange. However, unlike Walmart in the USA where 2.5 gallons doesn't give you any break price wise and sometimes is even more, in Canada you can get 9.5 litres for $45 which is $3.43 per quart USD with exchange. If you fleet of Wings is as big as Alwing's, you can get 18.9 litres for $74 CAD which is $2.82 per quart USD.

The lesson here is to buy more Wings, can I get an amen?
