Hi all I'm new to posting and am not sure how this all works. I have an '84 naked and I would like to put a highly chromed spoked front wheel on it. Does anyone have any ideas on what and where to purchase as well as modifications needed to instal.

Re: naked 1200 spoked front wheel
My guess is all custom, but guys have used Harley rims with early year 75-79 hubs and bought spokes to fit. The rest will be up to you to make work.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Re: naked 1200 spoked front wheel
Thank you for your reply. I am trying to get the photo of your 77 enlarged as it looks great and of course black is the fastest colour. Is there a power advantage to the 77 heads on a 1200 engine with the magna carbs? I was thinking that the least expensive way to spoke up may be to change the whole front fork assembly. I have some feelers out with Cogni Moto about a custom front hub assembly but they have not gotten back to me yet. Are the other spokers using a stock '84 front end and just bolting a '79 hub on or is there more that needs to be adapted. I'm the only old gold rider around in my area, so I have no one to bounce off of. If you know of anyone who has done it could you please match me up with their email address.

'84 gl1200 spoked front wheel
I am seeking some expertise and advice. I want to put a spoked wheel on the front of my '84 standard. I have learned that the custom made hub route is out for now so I went looking for swap parts. I have learned that the honda shadow 700c '84-87, has 41 mm fork tubes and a spoked front wheel. It has the same triple tree bearing size but I don't know if the forks would be interchangeable re width and length. Has anyone put a spoked wheel on the front of '84 gl1200 std. I have heard of people using a machined axle and a harley wheel on a wing but not a 1200. Any help will be repaid in friendship and a sharing of my experience.
Thank you
