Check your fuses!
I was doing a pre-ride check and saw my blinkers weren't working. it ended up being the fuse.. Not blown, but cracked . I checked all the others as well. Every single one of my fuses had a fatigue crack. Good thing I found it today, as I have a long ride tomorrow. Check your fuses!

Re: Check your fuses!
I had to push my 76 about 1/2 mile when I had a fuse fail. Had an intermittent issue but I could not find the problem. The bike would just die and not start. When ever I was home and could test it, it would not act up. When I pulled the fuses one came out in pieces. Good advice, fuses are cheap and nobody thinks about them until they fail. You would think they would put in a fuse that would last more that a lousy 40 years.

Re: Check your fuses!
just because the fuse looks good through the little glass tube might not mean it is.
they can break at each end it seems too. I looked all around for a problem. Fuse was the first thing i checked. Looked good. Finally ended up replacing with new - fixed.

Re: Check your fuses!
I had a bunch that looked fine, but you could spin the glass in circles. They weren't connected in the ends.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Re: Check your fuses!
+1, But not all meters will read perfect 0. Short the leads together and whatever reading you see should be the same when you test the fuse.CYBORG wrote:Set to ohms.......should be all 0's (short)
