Thank you for the add
I’m sure to enjoy this group as I’m completely nuts about MC’s having 42 of them at this time...no GW’s yet but am here to learn so a GL 1100 isn’t too far away for my collection

Wow.
I could stop there and it would describe your collection perfectly. (But, I gotta make a few more comments).

First, great choice in music - and fitting for the need to shelter all those machines!

Fabulous collection. Given your love of Ducati, I am not at all surprised to see the solid Cagiva representation.

I won't dwell on it and you'll probably laugh, but if I had to choose one favorite, it'd be the early 900SS ('79?). Probably my favorite all time Ducati.

I'm not sure what you intend to do in the GL world, but you'll be hard pressed to find one that competes with that collection. Other than extremely long legs and boat anchor reliability, there's nothing exotic about a Goldwing, naked or otherwise. They are utilitarian machines. But they DO have one of the most well-designed power plants ever put in a motorcycle.

Thank you for your reply...as you can see see I’ve got a variety of engine styles and configurations...always been drawn to the flat 4 .....was hoping to learn more here to apply to a project that I’m considering...meeting true experts and getting different perspectives on different MC’s is truly enlightening...trying to NOT be a copy cat, but very much stricken with this GL as basis for a cafe racer Custom

(Don’t know how to paste pix here or I’d show you). Or go FB page Bruce’s Motorcycles to see my latest obsession

If you are asking “why are you here?” It’s to learn all I can about GL’s. Recently saw a pix of a cafe 1100 GL and it was breathtaking... thinking it’s an engine type I don’t have and could make a great winter project for me and my wife (Clean Jeanne, the Detailing Queen).

Or is the big question something else ?

Best to all.....Bruce R
