The 1000 I am working on I thought was overheating but after checking more I do not thank it really is overheating it is just the gauge shows it is. Will the 7v regulator make the gauge do this? Thanks Dannie

It also operates the fuel gauge so if that is ready faulty then odds are very high you have an issue with the 7V reg.

The best way to tell is to simply measure the output of the 7V reg and if it is anything other than 7V get in touch with Murray
https://murrayscarbs.com/product/7-volt-regulator/ (if you let him know which model you will be using it in he will send it with the correct terminals)
