Hi All - First post; I’m customizing a GL1100.
First question - Has anyone used this gauge (https://www.ebay.com/itm/274951149515).
How is the Tac connected?
Are there any other all in one (Speedo/Tac) gauges that you’ve used with success.
Thanks
Sonny

Re: Electronic Tac Gauges
I can't speak to the gauges, but the bike looks to be coming along nicely. That GL1100 looks like it had GL1200 bags on it?

Re: Electronic Tac Gauges
After reading the sellers fine print on the part I wouldn’t give them the time of day, never mind buying. No description at all of the part he is selling, just how you will be charged if the order is cancelled and policy stuff.Fred Camper wrote: ↑Sun Nov 14, 2021 8:59 am Love the front fork, more details on that mod if you please.

Re: Electronic Tac Gauges
I’m leaning towards an Acewell gauge, I spoke with Dime City and it hooks up to the coil and can be adjusted for dual coils (which was my concern)…

Re: Electronic Tac Gauges
I use that gauge on my vw trike. Several long trips, several rain episodes, works well. Tach pickup is a wire soldered directly to the electronic module inside my distributor ( nothing else would work!) Speed pickup is 4 magnets on the axle and coil on a bracket. Rpm doesn't register below 900, no trip gauge, no plug & play parts, prepare to wire it from scratch ( just tedious, not difficult). Has full complement of idiot lights, & is easy to read (except odometer, too small). For $33.00 off Amazon while I decide what I really want for a new dash, it does the job ok. The extra pointer is actually glare from my shop lights. Accuracy is determined by programming the circumference of the wheel.

Re: Electronic Tac Gauges
I did separate gauges, my tack hooks to the coil, setting for 2,4,6,8 cyl. I have it on one coil set for 2cyl and it reads out accurate.
