I did a thing too

She followed me home for some tlc. belonged to a friend that laid it down to avoid hitting an elderly man that cut him off on a mobility scooter.
SWMBO'd told him no more bikes.
He broke 9 ribs, his scapula and collar bone.
He's all healed up and I didn't know he had kept the bike until we ran in to them one day and his wife told me to come get it.
It's a 2000 roadstar.
I'm going to fix what needs to be fixed, put some apes on it and see if I like it.
It needs new bars, the gear shift lever straightened out, new clutch lever and perch and new signal lights.
the bags, passenger seat and a big chunk of the rear fender will be going away too.
I love my 1100 but being 6'4" my knees bug me on long rides and I messed around with highway pegs and just can't get comfortable.
So the 1100 may be finding a new home.
I'm keeping the 78 for a cafe project and the 76 will be up for adoption as well when I get it back together.

well..I have the apes on her and it is comfortable. these arrived today.
I wanted signal lights that weren't so "in your face" and stumbled across these.
They were pricey but they are well made. Billet aluminum housing and mounts.
The front ones (in the pic) are running lights and signal lights. Separate led's for them instead of one led that changes colour.
The ones for the back are tail lights, brake lights and signal lights.
When you turn a signal light on the running light, tail light goes out.
The front ones are going on the handle bars. They make a mount for crash bars so I got those.
Still waiting for some fender bling and a replacement head light to arrive so I can mock everything up before paint.
