i just bought a 77 gl550


it runs and rides, but the clutch is stiff, and the throttle is very stiff..

any ideas.

I know there was a CB550 in '77. Didn't know there was a GL550. Anyway, I would guess the cables need cleaned and lubed at the very least.

the only gl in '77 was the wing , it's either a 550f or 550k

See my above post. :8) Pull the cables and see how they work unhooked. You might be able to clean and relube them. Spray some carb. cleaner in them to clean. After that use some cable lube and see if they are any better.
