Working on a petcock rebuild (common issue) on the Valkyrie today, so threw the tank on GL frame to see if it would fit. This is a Valkyrie Standard/Tourer tank (5 gal) vs. a Valkyrie Interstate tank (6.9 gal) which has a similar shape but it's a little taller/fatter. A standard/tourer tank could probably be found for a "reasonable" price. The larger Interstate tanks go for crazy $$ as many folks like me continue to look for the larger tank size/cruising range.
I think it looks pretty good. This frame is some missing frame members that didn't appear too important.
It's a future engine test mule, so it'll only go to the driveway and back to the garage.
A look underneath...
Hacked up frame for reference, missing some cross bars.

I'm having a hard time seeing what was cut off, but I don't think cutting anything up there is a great idea. The forks are enough of a weak spot, I would be wary of weakening the neck too.
It does look pretty cool on there, though!
