I'm so sorry to hear about your good friend's passing. I never got the chance to know Fewman, but it sounds like he left an indellible mark on a lot of people. I just read his emblem thread and it felt a bit surreal to be reading the words of a fellow Winger who's no longer with us.

I hope he's in a place where the weather and roads are perfect for riding every day of the year. Peace to all.

Placerville wrote:This hurts. Fewman was such an important part of the NGW. I'm stunned at his passing and somewhat taken aback by the comments above regarding the purpose of the 'Honda' logos. When I replied to his thread saying that they were still available, I'd just purchased a set that day. After he bought his, I thought I'd pick up a couple more sets and put them away for the future but, I was told they were no longer available. I swear, he got the last set.

I joined the forum a while after the loss of your friend Fewman and just today noticed the bike of the month. Nice tribute. Thanks to whoever made that choice. Sorry about the loss of your friend.

When I first met Fewman...he made a remark that has stuck with me over the last 40 years. He said that when we pass on, we should all meet "at the north end". Take that as you will...but I know he's there waiting for us.
Lucky to be walkin' & talkin'....!!

Quoting my brother, most likely him quoting someone else "If I don't see you in future I'll see you in the pasture." Perhaps the north 40 and the north end might be the same. From what I read on this site over the past few years ( I recently rejoined. ) written by and about both Cookie and Fewman they were both truely good people.

deserving BOTM.

I was also one who grabbed a set from that post. I just reread the post and just figured out what locked in memory of Freeman meant.
He even chided me about the discount coupon that I found.

RIP Freeman. May the wind alway be in your hair.

Now I have to remember how to take care of it. It's been almost 25 years since I've worked on my Wing. You can bet I'll be posting questions to the forums for advice. Miss you, Fewman...!!
