starting off things right

for those of you that have M.B.S. (multiple bike syndrome) and have the "silver wing" models.
as our sponsors also have supplies for those bikes and they are popular with the "wing" crowd.

I cast the first vote for cool. A couple bits there look like they are from bikes I had years ago.

The exhausts look like ones I had in the 70s that had no baffle at all and made me unpopular in some circles.

Glad to see this new Forum!

The CX500 (and all it's variants) was one of Honda's best engineering efforts!

My SilverWing was one of my favorite bikes...wish I still had it.

Too bad Honda didn't continue development on this range once they lost interest.

The good news is they seem to last forever.

i had a gl500 that i chopped up it was fun. now my jr is still riding it, (they last for ever). and changing it too to be his own. i have pic in my gallery of it before he got it. what i loved was everyone trying to figure out what it was, it always had some one looking at it. it's been called a bmw, moto guzzie, etc, no oned believed it was a baby goldwing.

those are JUST what i was looking for when i asked about a silverwing forum some time ago! big t, your lil' wing is SWEET! 'cept for the pipes, i dont like loud. just not my cup of tea, but it looks fantastic!

will this forum have its own for sale/wanted section, or will it just get bunched in with the other ones?

Way cool!!! A new CX Forum! Whoohoo!

I have four CX's 500's. All of them running. The 1978 from my signature is my first bike. Its in very good condition. Tagged and registered and ready to go (when the wing won't! lol). Also have one that is almost identical but a 1981 model. Just bought it last week. Needs TLC but its all there. Not tagged yet. Then another one from 1981 that is an american model (just one brake disc) in very good condition and up for sale. And a 1981 Custom model, also tagged and registered and running. The rat bike, but it runs and has tags, too.

I admit to always having liked those little buggers for some reason. the engine design looks very unusual and really lends itself to a rat bike.

The CX is my favorite bike of all time. I have an 80 and an 81 custom. Sounds like nothing else, runs like nothing else, takes the corners at a speed that a Wing would never attempt. Took this one down to the bare frame this last winter to clean, lube, touch up, etc.. Father/daughter tour this summer with me on the Oldwing and her on this CX.
