Hmm. Unless I'm using the leakdown tester wrong(first time I've used such a tool) my piston rings actually seems to be in great condition.

Any idea what else could be causing the oil usage? Ventilation hose for the crank case is free of any blockage as well.

The 87 as you pointed out is a little different animal, but if you know a machinist, they can cut a groove into the 1200 output shaft, and then it will work like any other.

You might be able to use the 1100 exhaust on it if you can bend it slightly, the 1200 block is around a 1/4" wider if memory is correct.

Custom ECU is the way to go on these types of conversions.
Thanks for the info!

Haha! Does your exhaust have the cross over pipe that the original 1100 exhaust would have had? If not, you are good to go using it on a 1200.

How full do you keep the oil? From what I have read, if you keep it mid way in the sight glass, they won't burn as fast.

Yeah, unfortunately I have it no mor than mid way.
And I check the oil after I shut the engine off and then wait like a minute or two.

Wait 5-10 minutes. You are checking it on the center stand right?

Thanks for the info.
I have no center stand but I do understand that I need to have the bike level in order to check it.
Honestly I’ve probably waited closer to 5-10 minutes than 1-2.

You can try dropping the oil slightly, and then watch it. I can't recall, did you put valve seals in?

Yeah I replaced the valve seals this Saturday. First start it seemed fine, the me any my mate ate a pizza and celebrated a good work in the shop. Fired her up in order
todrive home and she smoked out of all cylinders but mostly the right ones for a minute or two. Got home, like an hour drive and the oil was just at the lowest edge or the sight glass, filled to half level and when I started it smoked real bad out of the right cylinders. The day after it subsided and did not smoke at all. Not really sure why

That sort of points to being too full even though it may show at the proper level. Run it at the lower line, watch it closely, and see what it does.

Alright, I'll give it a go. Run it a couple hundred miles and checking the oil level after each stop.
Ran a compression test just now, all cylinders were in the 85-95psi range with the rear left being the lowest at 85PSI. That was wit a cold engine and all plugs left in except for the cylinder being tested. Will do another test with the engine warmed up

Was your throttle wide open when you checked this?

No ;) did another test with it wide open and cold engine and was around 200PSI. Guess engine needs to be at operating temp for the numbers to make sense

You can do warm or cold. But the throttle needs to be wide open to get accurate results. Your updated numbers make more sense than the first one's you posted.
