... Friday morning I was discharged and by early evening I was home. I have a 4 inch long incision on the RH side of my neck and aside from those particular pains and after effects I feel much better. The left side artery remains under watch for the moment and I have a follow up meeting this week with the Cornwall staff to discuss that.

Glad to hear that they were able to fix it so quickly ... and you're feeling better. After they get the left lane fixed, get up on 2 as soon as possible. That will be the best medicine.

gregforesi wrote: Sun May 19, 2024 5:45 am Good luck with it. It's too bad you can't run an old speedo cable through them to clean them out.
I had my circumflex reamed and sleeved in 2012 at the University of Michigan and got to watch the whole thing live and on a big screen TV. That was kind of cool.
My cardiologist has gone in twice now, and I've watched what was up both times. Isn't that the most amazing thing?

A real long time ago a screw fell out of a stupid MAC Tool sparkplug socket with U joint combo. I was changing plugs on an E type and the stupid socket didn't come apart until AFTER I had pulled all the plugs. I knew the dam ... darned screw was in one of the holes, but which one? I did some magnet fishing and found it had gone down hole 3. I REALLY wished for one of those scopes on that day. I've also had 5 surgeries on my left ear and always wanted to look inside to see what they did in there.

Scopes have always been WAY too expensive ... until fairly recently. About 2 years ago I found a bore scope for .22 rifles with a flexible cable for almost nothing on Amazon. If I remember, I'll have to start my own thread and post some pictures of the inside of my ear.

Mike: Have fun but don't overdo it too soon (if you are having similar weather to us the rain may help you restrain yourself)

Ted: I bought a USB endoscope camera on eBay at least 10 years ago for under $20. The last time I used it a bad connection developed at the camera end. I planned to try to fix it (& still might one day) but I recently found ones with smaller camera heads and more flexible cables on Aliexpress for under $5 so I bought 2.

That's a scary story! Glad that they got to it quickly.

Makes you wonder how many of us are running around with something like that just waiting to jump out and bite you.

Hello Folks;
I just got back from a post-op check up in Ottawa and I am very pleased. They gave me an ultrasound on both sides and the doctor said that all was well. "See you in a year" was the final report. YEEEE HAAAAHH !
