GL 500

for those of you that have M.B.S. (multiple bike syndrome) and have the "silver wing" models.
as our sponsors also have supplies for those bikes and they are popular with the "wing" crowd.

OK just looking for a ball park.

A friend is selling her gl 500 standered. in good shap and good running condition. Tank was recently seald and carbs redone.

I don't want to over pay, and being a friend don't want to steal it. just a far price.

it has 36,000 miles on it. Small "Quick Silver fairing? with raidio and bags.

She wanted to get $1500 I think that is high.

What do you think?

I bought my 81 std. 6 months ago with 20k miles and gave 1000 for it. The PO had repainted it a really pretty royal blue and it had been well maintained. It actually looks new! I ride it regularly and enjoy it very much.

My CX500c is in excellent mechanical condition with 22K and I don't think I could get $1000 for it around here. If I were to sell it, I'd be happy with 8-900 dollars. I don't know the market where you live but for some reason the CX/GLs don't command a high price. Now, if you had a CB750 around here you could sell it for a minimum of 800 even if it didn't run.
