tire for gl 500 ,,,140 /90/16
Will a Dunlop Crusemax Whitewall 140/90/16 fit in place of a MT 90 /16 ?? Looks tight to me . , I mean it looks like there is more clearance on the left side than the right .

Re: tire for gl 500 ,,,140 /90/16
It's supposed to be a 130/90-16.
Some brands of 140 might fit (the only dimension that's consistent between manufacturers is the diameter at the bead) but the only way to know for sure is to try it.
If you need a rear tire you can also consider swapping in an 18" CX500 wheel with a 120/90-18 tire. The RPM will be reduced by about 5% with similar mileage improvement. And the handling will be a bit sharper with the 120.
Depending on your intended use you might even be able to buy a CX wheel and a suitable tire for less than the 16" tire (especially if you need a tire with some knob and you don't like Bridgestone Trail Wings).
The only negative is that the CX wheel will be a silver Comstar instead of a black reverse Comstar.
