Edited... old images no longer hosted but here's a recent one showing how I chopped an old king/queen saddle to make more of a clubman style seat.

the foam actually came out of a shipping box for high-end video equipment... it is high-density open cell foam... it easily contours to my posterior, but is firm enough that my 205lbs won't sink into the sadlle... and it bounces back, so the saddle won't sag after an iron-butt tour.
you can always go to your local fabric store... it's not very expensive:

Dusted off the old 'wing. Needs a battery and some fresh gas... I have not ridden in in 3-4 years except to occasionally blow the cobwebs out. Looking forward to tinkering with her again....

Thought maybe you disappeared.
That's a long time between posts. Bet you had to go back a few pages to find it. Always glad to have people come back that were gone for awhile.

Yep... been busy with house remodeling, kids,.... you know. Finally got my garage cleaned out to where I could drag the bike out. Front calipers are sticking... she needs some TLC.

I like those tank pads too. I'll check back in 2024 for a reply. Welcome back...
