I have one, but mine is on an 1100. I can't imagine that there is a lot of difference in mounting.

I made simple brackets out of flat stock steel. (3/4" x 1/8")

humm..you're just around the corner...where did you say your bike was?
What breed of fairing is yours?
I can't see brackets being an issue. I was more concerned with it not fitting around the headlight, speedo and bars.

It's sitting under the carport out of the rain right now. anim-cheers1

Not sure which brand the fairing is, I bought it off of Amazon, shipping and all came to around $150. I do not have the insert on the inside of the fairing though.

The headlight on mine is the same glass that came out of the stock fairing.

I bought some "wind-deflector wings" that attach to the fairing, but I haven't installed them yet.

I saw those. I'm more wanting it for the look and to keep the wind from hitting me in the chest.
I went for a 4 hour ride with the windshield that came on the bike this summer..it was huge and I pretty much steamed myself well done wearing my riding jacked..
So I want a bit of air around me..

These wind deflectors are hinged, so when closed they block more air than the fairing alone. However, when opened, they scoop the air and blow it on you. Kind of like the old triangular vent windows that cars and trucks used to have.

If only the exchange rate was the other way around right now.....

My wife and I just celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary in Old Quebec city last weekend. With the current exchange between U.S. and Canadian dollar, everything we looked at was 20% off.

Having said that, give it a month or so and it might flip-flop the other way.

I can remember 1 time that the loonie was worth more than the US dollar..
the exchange rate and the out right refusal of some companies to ship to Canada makes finding some things difficult.
I tried to buy a set of weather tech floor matts for my truck from Cabela's a few years ago and they wouldn't ship them because they were a "prohibited item"! :IDTS:

Yeah, we'd hate to let you Canadians get ahold of those floor mats.........you'd have world-wide domination of us! lolol

The last time we went to Quebec, tens years ago, the exchange rate was the other way around, I think we paid $1.18 US for each Canadian dollar.
