Valuable Lesson

#1

Post by ritalz »

Relearned a lesson today while puttering with my riding mower project. ALWAYS CHECK WHERE YOU LAST WORKED. Couple of days ago I pulled the fuel tank to get to some of the controls. No biggie right. Except for kinking the fuel line when I bolted the tank down. Today I was doing some some more work and discovered it wouldn't run after a short spurt. It would still run on starting fluid so it had to be fuel related. After about 2 hours of digging and testing I found out that no fuel was coming out of the see through filter. The filter itself was completely full. With all the fuel lines unhooked I unbolted the tank and fuel started flowing freely. Checked under the tank and could see the kink...dang. ALWAYS CHECK WHERE YOU LAST WORKED.

Thankfully no. There was very little spillage since the hose was crimped.
